If you read the last post you will have seen that I have taken a break from Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny. This was quite a huge deal for me because I had been using it for over 3 years. There was nothing wrong with it, but I was out of product and looking for something new.
I first stumbled upon KMS in one of my Birchboxes. I decided to look into the rest of their products to see what else they offered. I was pleasantly surprised to find they make a product similar to Super Skinny.
For those of you who do not know what Super Skinny is, allow me to explain. Super Skinny is a serum that calms hair and delivers a faster blow dry. It will cost around $28 for this.
The reason I like KMS so much is mainly because it does the same exact thing but for only $18. KMS is also a spray so it doesn’t leave my hands sticky! If you’ve never used a quick blow dry product, may I suggest starting with this.
Don’t get me wrong they are both really good products but I think for right now I’ll be sticking with KMS Quick Blow Dry Spray.

Dear Super Skinny,
I want to take a break. We’ve had a good run but I don’t think it’s going to work out anymore; I’ve met someone else.
I’m sorry to say it but there is now someone else in my life. Someone who does the same job as you but only cheaper. I hate to throw out that word but it’s the truth. I’ve loved spending the last 3 years with you but it’s time for a break. I need to give this new product a try. I think it’ll be better for both of us if you pick up and move out of my bathroom before I have to put you away myself.
I’m not saying we will never see each other again but for now distance is the best thing. I wish you all the luck in all the future hair you will have the pleasure of styling. You truly are a great hair product and up until recently I didn’t think there was anything else out there like you.
Please do not get jealous of KMS Quick Blow Dry, you two run in completely different circles and I do not see the need for hostility in the bathroom. I hope I can still recommend you to others while I give it a run with KMS.
Thanks for reading!
Good question! And for those of you brand new to the site allow me to re-introduce you to Super Skinny by Paul Mitchell.
Not only does Super Skinny de-frizz and calm fly away’s BUT there is also a drying agent tucked away inside (don’t ask me what its called).
So beleive me when I tell you it really does speed up the blow drying process.
I like to run a dime sized amount through my hair when its damp.
Then I always start blow drying my roots first and then I give my head a flip and blow dry underneath for a few minutes.
Styling after that is however you prefer but I can almost guarantee you FAST results!
Let me know what you think!! Best of luck!
